Samsung is redefining the display landscape with its latest generation of Smart Monitors, designed to seamlessly blend work, entertainment, and connectivity into a single, versatile screen. Headlining the new lineup is the flagship Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF), which introduces revolutionary QD-OLED technology and advanced AI features. Alongside the M9, Samsung has updated the popular Smart Monitor M8 (M80F) and M7 (M70F) models, bringing enhanced performance and AI capabilities to a wider audience.

“The Smart Monitor series continues to evolve based on how people work, watch and play,” said Hoon Chung, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “With the introduction of QD-OLED and AI-powered enhancements, the M9 delivers a more responsive and refined screen experience — all within a single, versatile display.”

The series is rolling out globally, with the new 32-inch models offering compelling features for modern lifestyles. Samsung has also committed to long-term value, promising up to seven years of One UI Tizen OS upgrades for models released in 2023 and onward.

Flagship Smart Monitor M9: A QD-OLED Powerhouse

The Smart Monitor M9 stands out as Samsung’s first Smart Monitor to feature a brilliant QD-OLED display. This 32-inch 4K panel delivers stunning visuals with deep contrast, true blacks, and vibrant colors, creating an incredibly immersive experience whether you’re tackling productivity tasks, streaming movies, or diving into the latest games.

Designed with both performance and longevity in mind, the M9 boasts a rapid 165Hz refresh rate and an ultra-low 0.03ms response time, coupled with support for both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatibility for tear-free, fluid motion in games. To address potential concerns with OLED technology, Samsung includes its proprietary Samsung OLED Safeguard+ cooling system. This advanced thermal control system features an active cooling method with an oscillating heat pipe and coolant, engineered to dissipate heat significantly faster than traditional methods. AI algorithms further enhance protection by predicting surface temperature, reducing brightness when necessary, and detecting static elements like logos or taskbars to prevent burn-in. A Glare-Free coating minimizes reflections, ensuring comfortable viewing even in bright environments.

Visually, the M9 is certified Pantone Validated, guaranteeing precise color accuracy for over 2,100 Pantone colors and 110 SkinTone shades, ensuring content appears exactly as creators intended. The monitor features a premium, slim metal design, measuring only 9.9mm thick with a built-in 5MP 4K webcam equipped with an IR sensor and far-field microphones. Its versatile stand offers height, pivot, swivel, and tilt adjustments, and it supports VESA 100×100 mounting. Connectivity is robust, including Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and a USB Type-C port offering 90W of Power Delivery, alongside two USB 3.0 Type-A ports.

AI-Powered Performance & Enhancement

At the heart of the new Smart Monitor lineup is Samsung Vision AI technology, powered by processors like the NQM AI Gen 3 found in the M8. This enables dynamic, real-time optimization of picture and sound based on content and surroundings.

The flagship M9 features top-tier AI enhancements including:
AI Picture Optimizer: Automatically adjusts image quality for the best viewing experience.
4K AI Upscaling Pro: Intelligently enhances non-4K content to near-4K resolution, adding detail and clarity.
Active Voice Amplifier (AVA) Pro: Analyzes ambient noise and content audio to boost dialogue, ensuring clear sound even in noisy environments.

These features work together to adapt the display’s performance, whether you’re working, creating, or enjoying multimedia. The Vision AI can even identify on-screen content to provide personalized suggestions.

Smart Monitors M8 & M7: Accessible AI Experiences

Extending the smart monitor experience, the updated Smart Monitor M8 and M7 models also feature 32-inch 4K UHD displays. While they utilize Samsung’s advanced VA panel technology instead of QD-OLED, they still deliver sharp details and rich contrast suitable for everyday productivity and entertainment.

These models incorporate built-in AI features, offering functionalities like:
AI-Powered Discovery Tools: Including Click to Search, making it easier to find information related to on-screen content.
AI Picture Optimization: Enhancing visuals for various content types.
Active Voice Amplifier Pro (M8): Improving audio clarity.
3D Map View (M7): A feature for managing your smart home directly from the monitor.

The M7 is also available in a larger 42-inch variant, providing more screen real estate options.

The Ultimate Versatile Hub

All models in the M-series lineup function as powerful smart hubs running on Samsung’s Tizen OS with One UI. This allows users to access a wide range of functionalities without needing a connected PC, including:
Smart Entertainment: Instant access to popular streaming apps, Samsung TV Plus (free content), and Samsung Gaming Hub for cloud gaming without a console.
PC-less Productivity: Access Microsoft 365 apps directly to create and edit documents. Samsung Knox security provides robust protection.
Seamless Connectivity: Integration with SmartThings allows you to control smart home devices. Multi Control enables easy sharing of a keyboard and mouse across compatible Samsung devices, while Multi View supports side-by-side multitasking.
